I was stationed at Mayport Naval Station, from April 1994 to June 1997 at HSL-46. Mayport is home to five SH-60B squadrons.
If you're transferring to Mayport, or shopping around for orders, mayport is a great place to go. Weather's great, beaches are close by (one on base!!), and it's a great community to live in.
If you're in the Jacksonville area, stop by and visit mayport naval station. tours on ships are usually available. the USS John F. Kennedy (CV-67) is the carrier stationed there now. The Forrestal (CV-59) and the Saratoga (CV-60) were stationed there also.
